Meet The Staff at Whispering Hope Stables

  • Amy Peters, Owner of Whispering Hope Stables

Amy has lived in North Carolina for over eight years with her husband, Stephen Peters. Originally from Northampton, Pennsylvania, Amy has been an entrepreneur most of her life. Whispering Hope Stables is Amy’s first horse farm, but her third successful entrepreneurial adventure.

Amy's keen business sense and dedication to her ventures will be the catalyst to ensuring that Whispering Hope Stables remains Raleigh's premier equestrian facility for years to come. She is a natural "people" person who believes in developing strong, mutually benefical relationships. Amy looks forward to making new friends with clients and business partners alike at Whispering Hope Stables.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Muhlenberg College. She recently earned the title of Master Gardener through N.C. State and most importantly, is a mother of two young children - Sara and Robert.

She is a member of her church, New Hope in Durham, and supports multiple charities including “Sara Making a Difference” - the charity she founded with her daughter and son.

  • Lillian Poole, Barn Manager

  • Hannah D'Andrea, Assistant Barn Manager

  • Laurie Hutchinson, In Loving Memory

"She was my friend, my business partner and the woman who brought laughter and joy each day to me and our farm.  She will be forever in my heart!!!"  Amy Peters

Laurie Hutchinson started the Whispering Hope Stables dream along with Owner, Amy Peters, in January 2013.  She was an inspiration to many and had a joyful way of life that radiated and impacted many lives.  On March 4th, Laurie passed away and we all miss her so much.

In 2012, Laurie and her 9 year old Gribaldi mare "Veva Rose" finished 9th in the National Developing Horse Grand Prix Championships, a program developed for the USET to identify and cultivate rising stars in the dressage world. In addition, several of her training students won Regional and State Championships and were nationally ranked in the Top 10.  In 2013, Laurie achieved her Gold Medal status and received 2013 "Horse of the Year" with Veva Rose.

This is a woman who was following her passion and helping others to define their dream and motivating them to achieve it.
